“Max was diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum at age 19.

Despite facing severe anxiety, he was able to travel nearly 400km away from his tiny country hometown to go to University in the city, and in 2011 he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism in 2013.

He currently works as a classroom mentor and motivational speaker for the I CAN Network, an organization that supports young people on the spectrum.

Max is also a writer. He runs a blog about life on the spectrum, (https://japanmax89.wordpress.com/) and is working towards his lifelong dream of becoming a published author.”
