Brooke Briody is the Campus Principal of the Northern School for Autism – Senior Campus. She is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the staff, students and teaching and learning programs. She works with her staff to develop and implement an ASD supportive curriculum with a focus on Functional and Employability Skills. Their aim is to structure the environment and the teaching tasks so the students can achieve success as independently as possible. They implement Structured TEACCHing across the campus.  She is the first Certified Practitioner for TEACCH, in Australia. She gained this certification after TEACCH consultants visited my campus from North Carolina US. She uses this certification, to model best practice for young adults at her campus and by providing consultancy to mainstream schools and post school providers working with people on the spectrum. She has previously worked as an Assistant Principal in NSW special schools and a Deputy Headteacher in UK special schools.
